CALLING ALL BACKPACKERS, HIKERS, ATHLETES OR FIRE ACADEMY STUDENTS!

GAIN A CAREER IN FIGHTING FIRES IN CALIFORNIA!!!

This is a youth development program for 18-25 year olds or Veterans up to 29 years old. Live and work at the Camarillo Fire Center and get Type 1 Wildland Fire Training alongside CalFire Captains.

No experience necessary! Earn your High School Diploma, get fire certificates (free of cost) and earn scholarships to move towards a successful career path.

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR WOMEN ONLY!

must be able to meet the following physical fitness standards

-25 push-ups in 1 minute
-25 sit-ups in 1 minute
-5 pull-ups (or free hang) for 1 minute
-2 mile run in 18 minutes
-3 mile hike with full PPE gear, hand tool, & 40+ lbs. pack in under 60 minutes

Minimum requirements:

-Female
-18-25 years old or Veterans up to 29 years old
-Must be able to start in JANUARY 2019
-Must be able to pass physical requirements (seen above)
-Must be able to pass background check
-No convictions for a serious drug or violent crime
-Not on formal probation or parole, no pending court action
-Must be able to pass drug test and physical exam

Attend an Information Session and get a tour any 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 3:30pm online or at our Camarillo Center located at 3200 Wright Road Camarillo, CA. Youll learn about the training youll attain to become a Type 1 Wildland Firefighter and the hands-on experience youll gain fighting wildfires under the command of CalFire.
