This is the diary of a deaf man who is becoming a volunteer firefighter (aka. Jake). His name is Neil and he started at the Fire Department of Montgomery Township in August of 2003. He started this blog to chronicle his experiences, his achievements and his mistakes (probably more of the latter) so others can learn from them.
