NTN Test Cutoff Date: December 7, 2011 Applications and scores must be submitted by December 7, 2011.

Candidates who successfully pass the NTN test and application screening process will be invited to take the basic FF/EMT exam on Monday December 12, 2011 1830 hrs, Location: LSF Conference Center, 10518 18th Street SE, Lake Stevens, WA.

The Part Paid Firefighter / EMT's are assigned to a battalion and work either a weekday 12 hour shift or a weekend 24 hour shift.

Department Information:
Lake Stevens Fire is a combination department with 38 career firefighters and approximately 16 Part Paid Firefighters. The department provides ALS and BLS service, including transports, fire prevention and public education programs. Lake Stevens Fire serves a population of approximately 40,346 and 41.8 sq. mi.

Job Requirements:
Age: 18
US Citizen
High School Grad/GED
Valid WASHINGTON State Driver's License
Ability to Read and Speak the English Language
Vision: 20/100 uncorrected and correctable to 20/20 in each eye
IFSAC FIREFIGHTER 1 CERTIFICATE
Washington State EMT Certification
Pass Medical Physical
Current CPAT

Specific Disqualifying Behaviour:

Conviction of a felony in this state or an offense in another state which would be a felony if committed in this state.

Conviction of an offense involving moral turpitude.

Conviction of any offense involving the unlawful use, sale, manufacture, production or possession of a controlled substance.

Conviction of any offense involving the unlawful use, sale, manufacture, production or possession of prescription drugs.

Conviction of one DUI within the previous five years or two DUI convictions in a life time.

Pending criminal proceeding or under investigation for a crime.

Documented history of physical violence or has been convicted of a crime of Domestic Violence as defined by 18 USC 921(a)(33)(A).

Evidence that the applicant has willfully provided false of misleading information during the application process, in his/her written application of Personal History Statement, or has cheated during any testing in the application process.

Any conclusion by an oral interview panel that the applicant is unsuited for Fire Department service.
