Profile:

The Fire Department's primary function is to save lives and property by fighting and preventing fires through fire prevention efforts such as inspections, code enforcement, education, as well as arson investigation and prosecution. The Fire Department's responsibilities are defined in the City Charter and state statutes. This department consists of five divisions: Administration, Operations, Fire Prevention, Fire Training, and Emergency Management. The department operates eleven fire stations.
